Autonomous work, music and technology

Kraakwerk is the autonomous worksite of Hans Timmermans: a personal laboratory where music, image, code and technology are used to create new experiences.

This autonomous work is not only a source of artistic expression. It is also the place where new techniques and technologies are explored, tested and developed. Those discoveries flow back into commissioned work, installations, performances, videos and interactive projects.

Music is the starting point for many of these works. From compositions and live performances to installations, VR experiences and video productions, technology is always used in service of the experience.
